MOLD REMEDIATION The first step to any remediation plan is to eliminate the source of the mold. Much of the work performed by our company is a result of water infiltration(roofs,walls,decks,etc)which in many cases results in Mold and structural damage. We will eliminate the water infiltration, repair any structural damage and GUARANTEE the repair for SEVEN YEARS. We presently have over 8,000 leak related repairs under warrenty
Roof sheathing is covered with mold from condensation which was caused by insufficient attic ventilation.	The framing of this wall is badly rotted. The damage was caused by incorrect flashing at the deck/wall intersection. Mold was present on the interior.
REMEDIATION BASICS Once the source of the mold is resolved the clean-up begins. Clean-up measures include: CONTAINMENT: Isolating the area to prevent the mold from spreading beyond it's existing area. Negative air pressure machines are generally used in conjuction with temporary plastic walls. NEUTRALIZE: Fungicides(EPA approved) are applied to contaminated areas in order to kill mold prior to removal. IMPORTANT FACT: Clorine Bleach does not effectively kill mold on pourus surfaces(wood,drywall,etc).It is not E.P.A. or O.S.H.A. approved for Mold rememdiation. REMOVAL: of contaminated materials using various methods and proper disposal. COATINGS: Depending on the situation we may or may not recommend the application of an Anti-Microbial coating to prevent the recolinization of MOLD on the remediated area. DURING THE REMEDIATION PROCESS THE USE OF PERSONAL PROTECTIVE GEAR IS MANDATORY IN THE CONTAINMENT AREA. YOU SHOULD NEVER ENTER THE CONTAINMENT AREA WITHOUT CONSULTING WITH THE CERTIFIED REMEDIATOR FIRST.
